hello everyone

As you can see, I don't blog that much anymore but i hope it's gonna change. I'm working about new stuff maybe an new kind of blog so it will take a while( still under JackTechh 's name of course :p)

Also I feel a little dip right now because i don't have any ideas or anything refreshing and second i can't give you guys the game stuff. Let's hope I find my up :)

I hope you don't go search and try to kill me or something :p I will be back( with the legendary words of Mister Arnold ) and it will be beter then ever :D

I hope that I can see you guys back someday but when and where will come in this blog and on my twitter but for now, it's a goodbye.

Inside The Gamer week 12

hello gamers and gamettes, normally I tell you about what happend in the past week but not this week. this time I talk all about my day in FACTS.

For the ones who don't know , it's a manga,game, cosplay, sci-fi exchange for everyone who loves it. There are many things to see like nice cosplayers, the newest games and all the stuff about manga and other things.

The day began when i got out of bed around 6 o clock (yeah thats early :p) and then I went to the train station for my train to Ghent. it was a very close call because some of my friends were a little to late but we made it ;) Ones we were in Ghent we saw cool cosplayers and so we followed them to Flanders Expo, when a challenge appeared. We saw a long queue and we though that it would take too long but we were wrong. it went really fast and before we knew it we were in FACTS.

In FACTS we went to many and different stands to see what they sold and maybe bought something. Me and my friends made some pictures and I will upload some pictures on Friday( if i get them from my friend :p)

One sidenote: I didn't cosplay this year because my costume wasn't that great as I tought so I hope to do it next year :D

Buy or Sell round 3

Sorry thay you guys didn't saw this post a while ago and I will try to make next week in Jack's tech again ;) but there were some games i would share wit you guys :)

Borderlands 2: This game is the sequel from Borderlands and i must say this is one of the best game I ever played. Not in terms of graphics, but the gameplay and the feeling you get from it is just amazing. the humor from the characters is amazing and the combination FPS and RPG is really good. So if Fallout isn't you're stuff but you want to play a combo with FPS and RPG or you just want a good game? This is your game
Verdict: BUY!

Prototype: Yeah this was a really old game but it's still a good one. I bought this for my preperations for FACTS. If you love some good hack and slash, this is a good one but there are better ones I think God of War. It still good but a little outdated.
verdict:Sell(outdated) or Buy(if you want some good retro action)

Pokemon White 2: I just say the verdict from this game. Why? I said the most of it in thid week Gamelight so chack that out and you will know ;)
Verdict:Buy

AlphaGameBet: the "J" for Jak and Daxter

It's that time of the week that's called AlphaGamebet and today I talk about the game/game serie where I got the inspiration for my name: Jak and Daxter

Jak and daxter is only for the playstation consoles and is created by the people of Naughty Dog. The game is about 2 good friends who get into an adventure. I think there are 2 parts in de game serie, the first game and than the others. Why do I think that? well the first is kinda childish but the others are more action because you get the guns. If you guys think that I say the first one is bad then that's not what I ment :p The first is still cool with the humor from daxter but the ones after are more action and more story behind it.

Why you should buy it? I don't really know but the humor from daxter is really magneficent. His humor is sometimes really stupid ( well maybe always :p ), so you gonna have a great time playing this game.

Why do you love this game so much Jack? This game was the first game I played on my playstation 2 and I think this was the point where my gaming passion begon. That's why I love it and to show my love i dedicaded my name to it ;)

GameLight: Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

Yeah this week on Gamelight one of the most epic, best and longest game series: Pokémon. the past week was the release of the new pokemon black and white 2 for Nintendo DS and 3DS. But what's so different about this one?

Actually not much has changend: you catch pokemons, beat the gym leaders and fight the champion. but that makes the game a lot of fun :D this game is the same game like black and white but then with some extra  like Emerald, Yellow, etc... No, this is a whole other game with new locations, "new" pokemons and a new storyline.

This game is 2 years after the original black and white. In these so years a lot has changed. Some people moved to the Unova region and brought there pokemons with them, which let to some older pokemon you will remember ;) Also the charcters of black and white got older and chased their dreams.

If this game worth buying it? Yes of course and that for serveral reasons: 1) it's pokémon duh 2)you can explore a whole new pokemon game, that is totally different that i's previous one 3) because of the cool extra's like the medal box(throphy/achievement system for pokemon), habitat list and the dream radar for the Nintendo 3DS. The real fans of pokemons or people who didn't played black of white but love pokemon, should buy thid game. For the other ones, it may be a little childish but it's still a really good RPG for handhald consoles ;)

Inside The Gamer week 11

Okay guys and girls, let's forget the month September. I know there wasn't much activity on my blog but those had it's reasons. The first one( and you already know) is my ear infection in the beginning of September and the second is moving to my new appartment and that last one had some problems. The biggest problem was that I didn't had any internet till now :( So that's why it took so long and I hope you can forgive me once more :D

So what happend beside the moving? Not much actuaaly because it's autumn and typically for belgium it was raining most of the time. Although I bought some new games, where I will talk about in Jack's tech ofcourse ;)

And today, the 14th of october was election day for the people in Belgium. Not for the gouvernement but for the towns and provinces. The is a big battle in the city called Antwerp where 2 big politicians are arcross each other, you can compare it with Romney vs Oboma but than on little scale.

 Next week me and my friends go to FACTS 2012 in Ghent, it is a manga,game,anime,sci-fi exchange for the fans. I don't know if you guys are coming or not but if you want to search for me or something( what is not going to happend :p ) I'm the guy who cosplays as Alex mercer from Prototype(without weapons and the bad version :p ). AlphaGameBet: The "I" for Infamous 2

This week an other PS3 exclusive :p This one was one of the games that was released in the early begin of PS3 and then got an cool sequel. The game for this week is Infamous 2.

Why I chose this game? I really loved the first one and the 2nd made the experience even better. Like I just said it is a early PS3 game and then Infamous was a big game but it was a overshadowed by Uncharted.

What's the game all about? You play as Cole Mcgrath an normal man who got super powers in Infamous. In Infamous 2 you move to an other town, New marais,  to start a new life but that isn't that easy. In New Marais he gets the job to kill the beast like Kesler fortold in Infamous. Cole isn't ready jet to face the beast so he trains in New Marais to destroy the beast and to release the town from his dictator Bertrand.

The game is really fun to play because of , like I call it, the karma system. In certain points in the game you choose a good or a bad side which descides your way you react to the people in the game and the powers you get. Thanks to this system, you can play the game multiple times.

Gamelight: Vanquish

This time not about a game which is new or upcoming. In topic of today, I present to you a game which is really good but is almost never been played: Vanquish

Vanquish is a third person shooter published by the famous Sega. It is a little bit of a si-fi game where Amercia and Russia are sworn enemies(how typical). How is this possible? well, the human population has grown so hard that there are not much resources left. That's why America build a satalite for solar energy but Russia caputered this satalite to get control over the world.

Now the big question, why isn't this played much? I don't know and I think nobody knows. It isn't bad or something on the contrary it is really good. Combat, movement, environment etc... are really great but the game has a high difficulty. Is this the reason? i don't think so.

The reason I can think of is that the game was released in a wrong period. The game was released in October 2010 which was the period of blockbusters as Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and  Assassins Creed. This is a little sad for the game and the publisher of course.

So this was Gamelight for this week, I hope I could convince you to play this game ;)

Inside the Gamer: Scroll of life ( week 8 -10)

Hello everyone!!!!

It feels so freaking awesome to be back after some serious ear infection and other problems. I'm really sorry that I couldn't focuss on this during my illness, but I didn't want to post some junk or bad quality news. I'm back and let's start with what happend in the past weeks :)

On the 9th of September me and my friend went to the Japanese Garden to see some manga and cosplay exchange. Yeah it sounds a little bit weird but I like manga and i'm thinking about to cosplay. Not for everytime but a few times, just to have some fun ;) My first cosplay performance will be in FACTS in Gent. It will not be perfect but hey it's the first time :p

After that there was the time of my ear infection -_- serious pain and no sound through my left ear. result of that I couldn't focus on anything because the pain was to hard. But there were some thing I had to do  reluctantly and that was going to school. The 17th of September was my first day of school and I was a little nervous because I do another compartment so I wouldn't see my friends that much. Now the first week has ended and I must say that my new "class"( because in high school, you don't have real classes :p ) is awesome. I don't know them that good but there are some cool and nice people over there :)

Some other news, I'm moving with my mom to a new house because of the problems in our current house. The house isn't as big as the current one but it's nice and cozy ;)

The rest of the weeks was a little bit gaming here and some boredom there, so nothing interessting. I tried to make a video for my youtube channel but I didn't work out and with the ear infection and the moving to a new house, plans have been canceled to the end of next month :( The review I was working on will be uploaded as soon as possible.

After these weeks, I'm glad to be back and I hope you guys aren't mad at me for leaving you for a long tilme. see you guys next week in a Inside the Gamer and Game On!

It hurts like hell !!!!

In this post I let you know that I won't write any post till 19th of September. This is because I have a serious ear infection :( It hurt so much that I can't clearly think except for pain. I decided that my blog won't suffer from this, so I chose to rest till the 19th September.

Funzies: Old school vs New school

AlphaGameBet: The "H" for Heavy Rain

What is a game becomes so good that it even surpasses a movie? There was 1 game so far who gave that experience and that game was Heavy Rain.

Heavy Rain is a Playstation 3 exclusive game that is produced by Quantic Dream and published by Sony ( that's why it is Playstation exclusive). You can't push this game in a famous genre like action, MMORPG etc... The game is described  as a interactive drama psychological thriller so it most fits in the action genre. The story in Heavy Rain is that somewhere in USA there is a killer named the Origami Killer, everytime he kills someone he leaves a origami and a orchis. You play as 4 different characters who are for some reason involved with this case.

What makes this game so special? The game gives the player a real movie experience, you feel that you're actually in a movie. This is only possible thanks to perfect graphics and the amazing story. For the fans who like some thriller action, this game is a recommendation.

You can play the game with your playstion controller or the playstation move. some side info: Quantic Dream is working on another project called Beyond:Two Souls.

Gamelight: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

What do you think about a game with the greatest icons in Playstation History? If you were waiting for that game then I got some good news. On the 21st of November there will be a game called Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. It is like Super Smash Bros for the Playstation but there are little differences.

This game is a really mysterious one because not everything is know about it. From time to time So,,y release some characters that will be in the game. Some of the characters that are already know are Sackboy, Big daddy, Kratos, Sir Daniel , Jak and Daxter and much much more. To see the characters that are already in the game, check the picture. Not every character is on it and there is more to come ;)

Inside the Gamer: week 7

Hello everyone, I'm back :D after my resits and some week break I came with new ideas for my blog. First of all I would thank you guys for still reading my blog. It is unbelievable what it means for me.

Still not much has happend in the past week. Most of the time was relaxing, playing some games and thinking about plans for my blog. I have a list ready with some ideas on it and I hope that I can realize them.

In the past week I began to work on my Transformers review it is almost reeady in Dutch, so the only thing that stands in it way is the translating. I try to upload it next week Saturday, that will be the 8th of September.

Buy or Sell Round 2

Yeah,I know. I play my trumpcard again. I didn't find any good Tech news and I bought some games the couple of weeks so I thought let's make a verdict ;) Is it a buy or a sell?

Bulletstorm: after my terrible adventure with DBZ: Ultimate tenkaichi, I got Bulletstorm. Didn't play it much but I must say it's pretty good. Great enviroment and really dry humor. It is a shooter with a little twisdt in it. You can score point for more brutal, funny or creative kills. This game is most singleplayer because nobody plays the multiplayer. So if you want a decent game, this worth checking out ;)
Verdict: BUY

Dragonball Z Raging Blast 2: For the one's who read Inside the Gamer, they know that I orderd this game after a weird conversation with the vendor. There is one thing I can say about this game: NICE!!!! It is 10x better than Ultimate tenkaichi: It looks better, the same feeling as the PS2 games and more different characters. The only downside is that there isn't a storymode to unlock characters but it is called Galaxymode were you can play separated battle with no story. It isn't that bad for the hardcore fans who know the story, but for the newcomers isn't it a game to begin with.
Verdict: For hardcore fans:BUY, Newcomers: Sell

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron: I played the demo the previous time but this is the real game. I played it for a couple of hours and I must say they did a great job. I can't say much about it because I will make a review from this game, so no spoilers :p But I can say if you are fan of transformers then you must have it in you collection.
Verdict(fans): BUY

AlphaGameBet: The "G" for Guild wars 2

Hello everyone, this game sounds familiar. I Talked about it in Gamelight a week ago. Then it was the Big WoW-Killer but in my eyes it i just a good MMORPG ;)

So some general information about the game. This is an MMORPG made by Areanet and it is the qequel of the one of the most famous games Guild Wars. This game is only for pc so you're PC/Laptop need some requirements. These are the minimum requirements to play Guild Wars 2: Windows XP SP2, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz/ Corei3 / AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2GB RAM,  NVIDIA GeForce 7800/ATI X1800/ Intel HD 3000( 256 MB vRAM and Shader Model 3.0) and last but the most important thing, if you don't have this you can forget to play it :O , an internet connection, keyboard and mouse :p

Like every game there is a story behind it. This story happens 250 years after The great Destroyer( the end boss in the last expension of Guild Wars) is destroyed( what an irony :p ). After these years ancient dragons awoke from a deep sleep and made some big chaos in Tyria. The humans aren't the dominating race anymore, other races has come, got bigger or were tottaly destroyed. Even the technology has evolved greatly.

What is special about this game, the whole new twist of MMORPG. It begins al standard: you choose a Race and Class but that is just the begining. After that,you choose you're own story!!  When that is all done, you can do the quest and fight fort you're right. The quest aren't as normal, they pop up randomly and if you don't certain quest it has it influance on your evironement. Combat is also another thing. Per weapon you get, it has different abilities. For example for a warrior there are different abilities for an one-handed weapon then for an two-handed weapon. The races are enlighted in my Gamelight but what arev all the classes. The classes are: Guardian,Warrior, Elementalist, Ranger, Necromancer, Thief, Engineer and Mesmer.

This is all the news about Guild wars 2, the game is released the 28th of August 2012.

Gamelight: World of Warcraft: Mist of Pandaria

Hello everyone, in the weekend 17-19th of August was Gamescon. I call it The European version of the E3. In Gamescon, there were a lot of games one of them was World of Warcraft: Mist of Pandaria.

Everyone knows that World of Warcraft is the best MMORPG in the world because of it's big community. There was a time that every MMORPG tried to knock out WoW of it's first place. These games were mostly not bad, but not as good as WoW. Nowadays the MMORPGs just make there own game without emulating WoW.

There wasn't much news about WoW but the new cinematic trailer was released. I love the trailer,it has everything. Great graphics, some combat and a little bit of fun. The other cinematics were mostly serious but this one was with some humor.

What is know about the new expension is a new race called Pandaren and a new class called Monk( so kung-fu master). The first reaction is yeah "kungfu panda" but that isn't true. the Pandaren were way ahead of the movie. There first apearence was a little bit in Warcraft II and more infomartion was in Warcraft III. What there story is, I don't know that yet.

Inside the Gamer: Break Time

Sorry the late post but you guys know I'm doing me resits. That's why I'm gonna tell you something.
I will not post Inside the Gamer for a while. I will start again after my resists because at the moment I don't do much things except studying and that isn't interessting. Sorry for the bad news but when i'm coming back, it will be more fun.

I only take a break from Inside the Gamer because this is my personal life and the other topics is just news from gameland. Bring you the newest things in gameland, will continue. So no sad news for that part.

Jacks Techs: Ouya

Jack do you really put a shoot in the Jacks Tech post? And it is seriously Ouya? I can tell you this, it isn't a shoot , it a new upcoming video game console !!!!!

What another game console :O Yeah it is incredible and it isn't some crap if you were thinking that. The Ouya ( I really hope they will change the name) is a video game console that is built on open-source software running on the Android mobile operating system. it is still in developing.

This project was announced on July 3rd 2012. It started as a Kickstarter campaign to gauge how many people where interested and that were many people. From this campaign, Ouya got more 8 million dollar!!! This wasn't everything. Even some developpers and directors like Square Enix and Rober Bowling were interested in the Ouya and wanted to make some games for this new video game console.

That was the story so far about the Ouya but what is the hardware like? These are the specifications: Nvidia tegra 3(T33) SoC, Quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, Nvidia ULP GeForce GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal Flash storage,HDMI connection to the TV(1080 HD), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth LE 4.0, Ethernet port, One USB 2.0, Android 4.0 "Ice cream Sandwich" ( dafuq xD) and last but not least some Wireless controller with 2 analog stick, a d-pad, eight action buttons, a system button and a touchpad.

AlphaGameBet: The "F" for the Fifa Series

The first sportgame in this blog and it is directly the most famous sport: soccer. And the best soccer and most famous soccergame is Fifa.

Fifa is a game every gamer has played or came in contact with. The creators of Fifa is EA under the label EA sports. It all began in 1994 and the first Fifa was born. The name wasn't Fifa 1994 of Fifa '94 it was a whole other name, it was then called as Fifa internation soccer ( yeah I know it came close to it :p)

that was the begining of a big succes. In 2013 they mad 21 Fifa soccer games and 4 Fifa streets. there isn't much special about it. the graphics and controllers are very good and up to date. Every year EA makes another Fifa just to be up to date ( the transfers and stuff). Does it take for ever like that for example  Fifa 2055? Or will there be a game just called Fifa that updates itself? that isn't known but we can dream ;)

Gamelight: Dishonored

Hello guys, this week a game I didn't talk about. Not because it's bad but the big games come first and then the less famous games. This week in the light is the game called Dishonored.

This game comes from Arkane studios and it is a first-person shooter. Not the normal shoot as Call of Duty or Battlefield, it is more like Bioshock. the setting and the charracters are totally different but you play as Bioshock with 1 gun/sword and 1 hand with your superpowers. Yeah play as an hitman with superpowers.

There are some things known about the game like what kind of superpowers do you have and how you can play the game. Each different aprouch in the game has another end. The makers of Dishonored made a video about how you can the enemy and I must say it is pretty sweet. Some thinkwork may come in handy. Check the link below for the awesome killing work.

The game will be released the 12th October 2012.

Inside the Gamer week 6

This week wasn't a big one, nothing interesting happens but as you have already read I made a big decision. I'm going to the fitness three times a week, later it can be more. If you want to read more about it check my post "a Good gamer is a healty gamer" ;)

In "buy and sell" I told you about the DBZ game. No I sold it this week and something weird happend. When I sold it, the vendor apologized about selling me that game :O To apologize he ordered a good version of the DBZ serie. It is called Dragonball Z raging blast 2, so if you are fan go and but it ;)

So it isn't a big week.Why isn't this week so interesting? I'm studying for my resists -_- . Not much fun about that. And of course this week the sun started to shine and the good weather is coming. Nothing bad about that but I didn't want it in my resits.


Sorry that this week was nothing special, but I think it won't get any better. 1000 times sorry :(

Buy or Sell! Round 1

Huh? What is happening :O? No Jacks Tech anymore? Na that is not it, there weren't any new techs this week so I didn't want to give you guys nothing this week. So I came up with a new idea: Buy or Sell. In this topic, I let you guys know wich games I bought and give you my opinion on it. I played the games for a time so it is a little bit fair. If I say buy: it is a good game, if I say sell: it is a bad game. This is just my opinion on the games, so it is not the die hard fact.

The recent games I bought were Bioshock 2 and Dragonball Z: Ultimate tenkaichi. I also dowloaded a demo named Transformers: fall of cybertron, this isn't a full game but I give my opinion on it but it is just a provisional opinion. Those are the games that I will talk about.

Bioshock 2: As you guys may have read in the AlphaGameBet, I didn't play bioshock but I wanted to give it a shot. That is what i have done and I must say it is pretty good. It is a little bit freaky and srtuff but that's just the environment. it is pretty cool to play as a Big daddy and the story so far is good and the player gets it right away. Not a normal shooter like Call of duty or stuff but a good alternative.
Verdict: BUY

Dragonball Z: Ultimate Teckaichi: I must say I'm a big DBZ-fan and I love the games and the serie but I didn't play it for a while. When I saw this game it looked pretty goodbut than I put it in my PS3. The result: the biggest crap came out. The controls are weird, the battles are all the same, the lipsync is terrible. it just isn't as a normal DBZ game and that is a shame. The characters look pretty good but when all the other components suck, it isn't a good game.
Verdict: SELL

Transformers: Fall of cybertron: It is just a demo but not a demo like all the others. I think this is the first demo I saw with a multiplayer in it. You can play 2 chapters from the game and the multiplayer of course. The 2 chapters are fun to play and the multiplayer is just awesome. What makes it awesome is the big customazation in the game. you can make your own autobot/decepticon. For the fans, it is a must have.
Verdict: BUY

A good gamer is a healty gamer ;)

Hello everybody

Today the 8th of August I made a big decission. I go to change myself, not my character but my figure. It took too long to do it and now it is the time. I'm not mr sumo guy but I look to fat for my own good and I don't wanna die on my 40th.

That's why I go to the gym. In the begin, I go 3 times a week( just to start slowly) and than I will like to go every day. That's not the only thing I do, I have made some achievements I wanna accomplish every day. These are just simple things like: 2l of water every day, 2 pieces of fruit, max 2 unhealty foods a week and max 1 time some chips for a movie ; that is just the begging. I don't want to take it to hard immediatly because then I would not stick to my diet and that's not my goal.

So today was my first day at the gym and here is a picture of me after a nice time at the gym and a good shower.

yeah not a big smile on my face huh but believe me as I say that I'm feeling good :D

If there is any of you guys with the same problem as me, just start together with me so we can support each other in difficult times( believe me there will come many challenges to overcome). AlphaGameBet: The "E" for Elder scrolls: Skyrim

Now we have come to the "E" in the alphabet, whay would you say if we just "FUS RO DAH" about it? I think you wouldn't skip this post because you can get an arrow to knee. Ok, enough with the lame jokes and let's get back to business. As you know( or not), these jokes came from the game called The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. But what is so fascinating about this game? what makes it special? Let's figure that out in this post ;)

Some general informatuion about the game , it is a RPG created by Bethesda. This isn't the only Elder scrolls, there are 5 more of them. I think you can only find number IV in the stores at the moment. For the rest, I think you can find it on the interwebs ;)

The setting of Skyrim is in an kind of medieval  landscape with a lot of diffferent races in it. The story is quite simple. You are a dragonborn, that is a man/girl that can understand everything from the dragon , as a dragonborn you must keep the balans between the people and dragon and you need to destroy Alduin as the prophecy fortold.

What makes the game that special is the big open world and it's own creating skilltree. As in real life, you can be anything in Skyrim. You want to train magic, jsut train it and why not combining it with a one-handed sword? There is a lot of stuff you can do and you can combine it with everything. An outside of the game thing that makes it special are the memes, pictures/drawnings with a funny text. Everyone has heard the jokes about "an arrow to the knee" or a random " FUS RO DAH" sound. Or examples from memes are the unlogical things in Skyrim and the high addiction.

Is it a good game? I would say yes but you need to take the little bugs and weird things ( for example you get catapult by a giant) with it ;)

Gamelight: Darksiders 2

There was not much news in Gameland, no new trailers or such thing. So I prepare you for an upcoming game called Darksiders 2.

In the prequel you played as War, one of the riders of the apocalypse. He was the one who started the apocalypse too soon. In that game, War tries to clear his name and prove his innocent.

In Darksiders 2 you play as his nice and famous brother Death. He tries to unriddle why and who lead the apocalypse and why he would blame War for this. This story of Death is set in the 100 years that War is prisoned in Hell.

Darksiders 2 is a whole other game than the first one. The more to see, more to do and you create you're own Death. If it is a brutal killer or a demonic mager, it is you're choice.

There are a lot of trailers of the game, so you can check all of them on youtube ;)

I hope I gave you guys some information about the game. Sorry that I can't tell you new information about an other game but as nothing happens, I can't invent some news ;)

Inside the Gamer week 5

Hello everybody, this week was my last week of pure freedom. If you guys read my older post, you know that I need to do resits. These are almost there so I enjoy every free moment I get. So the upcoming weeks wouldn't be so interesting but I try my best ;)

This week was a busy week. As you guys already saw, I made a profile picture for my blog and stuff. I already told what happend that day, so if you don't read the first then now is the time to check it out :p

The best days of this week where definitely friday and saturday. On friday, *insert Rebecca Black reference* I had a real life clan event in Bobbejaanland. In the beggining it was a little bit weird to see eveyone but the more time we spent with each other, the more fun we had.

Saturday was shooter-day and I don't mean the shooters on the console but real life shooter. Me and some friend were going to airsoft. For the people who don't know what airsoft is, it is like a fps game. You play with good replica weapons and you get some missions to complete in a certain time. It was fun but in the first time I got a nice headshot. The result: a nice, small wound on my cheek :)

After those 2 days, I need to relax and that was my sunday. Just a nice relaxing day with my father.

Now it is monday and I need to prepare for my resits -_-, I hope I make it this time. Wish me luck and I see you next week ;)

Funzies: Batman loves games :D

Superheroes are like normal people( except for the hero and super part), they need some time to relax even Batman. After his new movie The Dark Knight Rises, he need to chillax, best way to do that gaming ofcourse ;)

It's a kind of magic !!

Today was an awesome day at my friends house. Our plan was to make a picture of me that I can use for my blog,twitter and youtube but that wasn't the only thing we did :p

The first thing we did was some gaming of course. He isn't a big gamer as I am but he is working to it :p The first game we played was Sorcery, as the game suggests it's about magic. You use the PS move controllers to play the game. it was like I was in a Harry Potter movie :D Maybe it isn't the best game in the world but it's fun and that's what's gaming all about.

The next thing was a movie, which according to him I must have seen. The title of that movie was Horrible Bosses. A great movie with a lot of funny stuff going on. I defintly recommed to you guys ;)

The last thing was making a picture for my blog etc... You can see the result in my profile but that will take a while because I'm busy these days. But i'm a nice gut, so here is the world premier of my first picture of me :D

As you can see, i'm not mister hotty. Just a normal guy who likes playing videogames on his PS3 and PC.( yeah the glasses make me little bit nerdy xD ). I hope you guys don't leave the blog because of this picture because it is a whole honour that you guys read my blogs and I mean it ;)

Jacks Tech: Nintendo 3DS XL

Let's take this week technology large and I mean XTRA LARGE! This week was the release of the new Nintendo handheld: The Nintendo 3DS XL.

But what is so different about this handheld? Well not much actually. They enlarged both screens and increased the playtime from 5 hours to 6 hours 30 minutes.Not that big woop :p

The next question is: Would you buy it for those extra's? If you don't have a 3DS( like me), you could consider to buy one because off the sleek design and the new improvements. If you already have one, I would say don't do it because it is a bit of money waste. For the ones who buy it, you can chose between 3 colours: blue, red and black.

AlphaGameBet: the "D" for Devil may cry

I hesitated again this week, I didn't knew which game I must chose for you guys. but than a little devil told me, let's do Devil may cry. Not the new one that comes out next year but the good oldies for playstation 2.

For the people who don't know Devil may cry, here is some information. Devil may cry is a hack and slash beat 'em up game created by Capcom. In this game, you play as Dante ,a demon hunter, who loves to kick some demons asses. At this time there are 4 Devil may cry games but like most games they don't follow  chronological. The serie begins with Devil may cry 3: dante's awakening, then Devil may cry, followed by Devil may cry 4 and last but not least is Devil may cry 2. The one that will be released next year will come before devil may cry 3.

I love to play this game because the setting are awesome, bossfights are legendary and to finish it they put a little bit of humor sauce over it. What a great dish.

For the ones who never played it on playstation 2, don't burst into tears. The game was re-released on the playstation 3 and if you search on the internet or game shops, you can find devil may cry 4 ;) My personnal favorite is Devil may cry 3 because the humor is great and the setting look more awesome than in the other games.

Gamelight: Guild wars 2

And now I present the WoW-killer: Guild wars 2. Woooooo*insert ghost voice*. I know it isn't true but I think everybody feels good when they read WoW-killer even though they are two different games. That aside, there was some "new" news.

There isn't big news of Guild Wars 2 but there is something weird. Arenanet and Nsoft( the 2 bhind Guild wars 2 ) asked the fanbase to register their in-game name before 31th of July but to obtain the name, you must use it in Guild wars 2. So get you're name as fast as you can, otherwise the search begins to an other in-game name.

The people who pre-order their guild wars2 are aible to play beta version. Previous week, the 2 remaining races were relaesed, they are called Asura and Sylvari. So true fans of the game can try them out ;)

Inside the Gamer week 4

Hello Sunshine!!!! These are the words to describe this week. A week with fun and sun ;) After weeks of rain and sadness, Mister Sun visited Belgium.

I'm a gamer but gamers don't stay inside when Mister Sun asks you to come out, so I decided to go outside and enjoy almost every bit of the sun. I started on Monday with some chillaxing in the sunlight, not for that long only to enjoy the light. Thuseday was the first water-fun-day with some friends. Just swimming in a pool and again enjoying the sun. On Wednesday I took a break, i didn't felt like to go outside and I was preparing  my birthday with my mom.

Thursday was my day, my b-day ( not only mine, but you know you are the king when it is your birthday :p). Me and my mom went to the Belgium beach for some sightseeing and enjoy the sun. I got a lot of wishes from my friends, the most of them on facebook( because they don't know when you're birthday  or they can't reach you :p).

Friday was the same as Wednesday, just chilling and playing games( i'm still a gamer :p ). this was my sunny week, hopefully it isn't the last we( belgians) saw from the sun.

Next week more life news in this topic ;)

Jacks Tech: Turtle Beach Ear Force XP300

When the new generation of consoles came there weren't many headset with voicechat. Turtle beach is one of the 2 headset makers who solved that problem.


The Ear force XP300 is a headset for the PS3 and Xbox360, you can also use it on PC but Turle beach don't mentioned it. This is a bluetooth headset with a LiPo-Battery. it is a good headset for gamers because it can isolate the sound around you. But there is a disadvantage with this: It can anoying for some people. The shell press to strong against the ears whick can lead to an uncomfortable feeling.


With the headset you can control the sound in the game, it has 4 stances: normal, bass boost, treble boost, bass & treble boost. This can give you a better gaming experience when you certain games for example race games. Some last warning when you put the sound on max, put you headset off otherwise you won't hear a thing when you put him off, this means that sounds is more than ok ;)

The AlphaGameBet: The "C" for Call of Duty

This topic will provide some old and new games. Each week I talk about a game that begins with the letter of the alphabet. And this week it is the "C".


This is a serie I know very well. I played every game on the Playstation but friends say that PC-versiuon is more fun. Call of Duty is a first-person shooter made by Activision. it is a game for Pc, Xbox and Playstation.

I think most of you ( or everyone) knows the serie and played it once. I played it with my friends on the Playstation 3 but I don't like the serie anymore. Why you say? Let me tell you. I don't say it is bad or something, it is just the same stuff in a different setting. Every time you get the same graphics, the same problems but you get an different setting every year. With other words, it gets bored.

That was a my personal vision of Call of Duty. But for the people who never played it, here is some general information. You play a character in the game in different levels. The story is very short( i think a couple of hours or something) but you get pure action in it. The multiplayer is the big succes of Call of Duty, the big rush of the singleplayer is transfered in the multiplayer. The problem in the multiplayer is the big group of people who f*** up the game. Some examples of this are: grenade lauchers & RPG's ( or any other bazooka) aiming at people to kill them, quickscopers, anoying 12 year-old boy who know your mother very well etc... If can avoid these people, it is a fun multiplayer.

Gamelight: Borderlands 2

An awesome game with a lot of fun, that's how I describe Borderlands 2. This was the other game that I didn't chose last week for Gamelight.We had some luck because there was new information about this game. I will let you guys see what is new and the old thing from last week.


There wasn't a lot of information about the game, but I will give you what i know so far. The new information was that the game will take 58hours to complete it one time. This is proven by testgamers so it isn't a random number. The head of marketing at gearbox, Steve Gibson, says that it will take longer because the gamer has many character to play with so the replayability is guaranteed.

The old news was the new and funny trailer of Borderlands 2. it is called Borderlands2: Wimoweh trailer. in this trailer, you see the environment of Borderlands2 with a song that reminds you to the Lion King :p Check the link below to see the trailer.

Inside the Gamer: week 3

First of all I want to show respect to all the victims in Aurora,Colorado. When I saw the news, I was totally shocked about it. I can't understand why someone do this and why they dear to compare to a villain in a movie. Those people just ruin the lives of many and ruin the fanbase of those movies. A second thing I want to say is that I support the 2 Belgian men who were severly damaged because they are gay. I'm not gay but that doesn't mean that I can't show some respect. A good friend of me is gay and I can't think if something like that happens to him.

That was the sad part of this blog let's go to happier stuff. This week I chilled with some friends, we had a lot of fun( like always :p) . it was like the time flew away because it didn't felt like I was there for hours. Some other thing I did was celebrating my birthday for my family :D My birthday isn't the 21st of July, it is the 26th of July :p So if you guys like to send some congratulations you can send them to Jacktechh@gmail.com ( haha :p)

Some time ago there was a father who painted a room for its newborn son. Nothing special you would say but what if I tell you he painted the room in a Zelda theme :o ( I wish I had that room :p)

The name of this father is Cole Bradburn. He painted this room to express creativity, adventure and discovery, this is the feeling he had in the Zelda games. Actually it wasn't Bradburn that drawn this room, it was a friend of him who painted the room and it wasn't his first time. The artist already made a Yoshi theme room for its daughter.

The AlphaGameBet: The "B" for Bioshock

This topic will provide some old and new games. Each week I talk about a game that begins with the letter of the alphabet. And this week it is the "B".


It is a serie that I don't know much about but I'm trying my best to tell you about the gameserie: Bioshock. Bioshock is a first-person shooter from 2007 made by 2K, this game was on PC, Xbox360 and Playstation3. This isn't a normal shooter like Battlefield or Call of duty oooh no, this is some different stuff.

The setting is in 1960 in a secret the underwatercity Rapture, this is where the player begins playing but what is the story of this game? I'm not gonna tell everything but what I know about the game is that in Rapture there was a civil war for some stuff that is called Adam. This is something that makes the human better/powerfull.

In your adventure you discover some Adam, some enemies and secrets of Rapture and the civil war in Rapture. Sometimes in the game you see monsters called Big Daddy and Little sisters. What they do in Rapture you will find out in Bioshock 1 and Bioshock2( yeah there is 2 of them :p). In bioshock 2 you play as a Big daddy and see Rapture through his eyes.

There will come another Bioshock called Bioshock infinite. It will be relaesed in 2013 but I don't know anything about that ( sorry for that)

This was the letter "B" for this week and maybe I should really play this game so i can give you better and more inforamtion :p

GameLight: Assassins creed III

In this topic, I will give you some information about upcoming games. This can be new trailers, new info,pre-order extras etc... So it is posible to see games more than once. This game is an exemple of the previous sentence because Ubisoft gives us time by time more news about the new Assassins creed.


I will be honest with you guys, i didn't knew what game I must pick for this week gamelight but I chose the game that had the most wow-effect in my eyes and that is Assassins creed III.

This week was really a crazy week because Ubisoft was almost spamming information about ACIII (Assassins creed III) in the last 2 months. First there was the E3-trailer, begin of July you had the Rise-trailer and past week we some actual Singleplayer and Multiplayer footage and believe it was awesome!


In the singleplayer we saw a part of the game in the city Boston, this was 6 minutes of gamefootage. In this singleplayer you saw some of the new actions you can do as Connor and of course the fightin style of Connor.

The multiplayer wasn't that much. There was a lot of talking about the new game called Wolfpack and if you watch the video you can see the new design of the multiplayer

Inside the Gamer week 2

A glimpse of my life, that is what you read in this post. In this post you read the things i did in the past week and we are now at week 2.


This week was a week to look back too. I had a lot of fun with my friends this week.A friend of me came back from a holiday and he wanted to do something with his friends. We didn't do much but that doesn't mean you can't have fun :p We went to a cinema to watch a movie and the movie we chose was 21 Jump street. i don't know if you guys know the movie but you need to check him out becuase I laughed so hard that I tought I pissed myself xD.

Friday I played runescape but with a clan where I"m in we had an awesome party. We did this because the leaders of the clan reached max lvl in the same skill on same time. After celebrating this there was a treasure hunt. The one who found it, is a real-life friend of me and he won 2mile gold ( that is 2 million).

In the weekend not much happend some gaming of course because the weather in Belgium didn't get any better. Can someone send Belgium some sun please? We need it.

Minecraft with iJustine :D!!!!

Hello everybody

As you can read in the title I played minecraft in Ijustine's server :D !!!! I tought she was online but then I realized she was a comic-con. I was really excited to see what all the fans of her builded and believe me it was nice.

After some time in the server, there were some idiots who destroyed everybodys work. They destroyed the iJustine sign, burned everybodys houses and that kind of stuff. I understand that there are people who hate that she gets famous and have millions of fans but that doesn't mean you have to ruin the fun for everyone. I mean they work really to let her see how much they love her( maybe in a creepy stalky way :p just kiddin' )

I hope that I see iJustine tommorow in her Minecraft-server and if not, so be it ;) It is already a hard work to get in her server, so I can be proud of myself to acomplish that already :p

Maybe this is a silly post but I want to let you guys know what i'm doing ( not everything of course for example when I go to the toilet and stuff :p )

Jack Techs: Microsoft Surface

In this topic, it is all about technology from some technology pictures from the future or new releases in the world of technology.


The first kind of technology that I like to talk about is the Microsoft Surface. This is a tablet PC from Microsoft and it isn't just a tablet.

Some time ago, Microsoft released the first real competition for Apple and these are the specifications for this tablet : ARM-processor from Nvidia, 2 USB-ports, a socket for a MicroSD card, a screen diagonal of 10.6inches, 2 dualband WiFi antennas, built-in HDMI, a support leg and a front & rear-facing camera. All of this provides a 9.3 mm housing for a weight about 675 grams. All of this is supported by Microsoft of course. there will be a 32-bit and a 64-bit version.

Each of the tablets will be provided with a colourfull keyboard, there will be 5 different colours. The design and the specifactions are nice but we will have to wait when they come in the markets, only then we can say if these tablets are a competition for the Ipad.

The AlfhaGameBet: The "A" for Amnesia:the dark descent

This topic will provide some old and new games. Each week I talk about a game that begins with the letter of the alphabet. And this week it is the "A".


I talk a lot about the new stuff but the old stuff isn't that bad, for example: Amnesia: The Dark Descent. This is an old pc horror game where you are wandering around in a castle... ALONE with a creepy monster who is chasing you.

The story is all about Daniel who has erased it memory execpt for 1 thing: Kill Alexander. In this game you will find out why he has erased his memory and why he needs to kill Alexander. This game is played by al most every game because of the adrenaline you get from this game. It is scary with a lot of fright moments but that is is just the drive to go through. I played it with friends of mine and that makes it even more fun. I defintily recommend it just for the adrenaline kick and the fun you will have with friends.

This was the first AlphaGameBet and I hope you guys like playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. and have some scary moment :p

If it didn't get any better

Hello guys

Yesterday I blogged about going to an amusement park with my nephew but thanks to the weather in Belgium( again -_-) we didn't go. Instead we went to the cinema, we watched the new Spider-Man movie which was a great one, with a much deeper story then the others and with a little bit of humor in it. When we get out of the cinema it was raining very hard so we got wet in the car.

Then when I came home, I got another bad news. Me and my mom need to move out of our flat, we get 3 months to search another one. Luckly we had an other flat in mind but still it isn't that simple.

Even after all this I still think positive because I always think about one predicate:  when we hit our lowest point, we are opened to the greatest change. And with that in mind I always think things will get better ;)

GameLight: Transformers Fall of Cybertron

In this topc, I will give you some information about upcoming games. This can be new trailers, new info,pre-order extras etc... So it is posible to see games more than once.


The first game in Gamelight is the upcoming game: Transformers Fall of cybertron. This is a sequel from the first game: Transformers War for cybertron. In this game the autobots prepare for a large evacuation but Decepticons are trying to stop that for there own purpose.

But what is the new information about this game? Well there are 2 new things. The first of the 2 is that the release date has been brought forward to 24th of August instead of 31th of August for Europe and for Amerika it has been set on 21st of August. If that isn't good news ;) The 2nd news is that High Moon studios  released a new trailer called Through the Matrix, you can't see much in the trailer but it is just awesome for any other transformer fan :)

Inside the Gamer: Week 1

Here is some news about my daily life.

This week wasn't a special week. A lot of gaming and boringness drived my week with special thanks to the bad weather in Belgium( exept for Friday and Saturday), my friends on vacation and doing some student job.
I also abought a new game called Resistance 3, I bought by an action from the GameMania. I only need to trade 2 old games so that I got it for free :D If that isn't a nice deal.

On Sunday, I spend my time on garage sale with my mom( you know so quality time :p). I sold some stuff of mine like Toys and that stuff. Today on Monday, Me and my nephew go to an amusement park called Bobbejaanland, it will be fun. Hopefully the weather stays good as it is now.

This was a grip of my life, next week more stuff about me :D

Ideas, ideas, ideas !!!

Hello everybody

sorry that it took so long again but I have some ideas for some changes on my blog. I was thinking of some categories to post my blogs in. There are 5 categories each for 1 day of the week, so I can take saturday and sunday to find some ideas and writing them. These are the ideas that i have been working on :)

1)Gamelight: this is the category where I will some news about upcoming games.
2)Jack's Techs: a catergory about technology of course :p
3)The AlphaGameBet: for every letter of the alphabet I randomly choose a game that begin with that letter, these can be new games, old games of game series.
4) Funzies: this is were al the funny, weird and awesome blogs come in
last but not least is number 5 called Inside the Gamer, where I will blog something from my own life. This can be game experience or just some randomness :p

I will start this next week and that will be 9th of July :) at the moment I searching some information about some games and technology for the categories of course. I hope you guys like it and then I will speak to you again next week. I say Goodbye and Game On ;)

Hey gamers and gamettes( just made that up :p)

I finally got my results from my exams and I got 3 extra resits, this with a total of 6. it sounds really bad but 4 of 6 is from a section I want to quit so I only have 2. It is a really big disappointement for my summer vacation but it isn't the end of the world, if you know what I mean. You must learn from the mistakes and see what you can do better next time ;)

I hope everyone's results where good but if they were bad, it isn't the end of the world ;) Just enjoy your summer and make fun with friends in real life or online :p

Gaming like a boss!!

Hello everybody

Previous week was a little bit the same because of the bad weather in Belgium. So what to I do when it is bad outside, Gaming of course :p

I bought 2 games called Darksiders and The Jak and Daxter triology. I bought Jak and daxter just for fun because it was the game who realized that I loved gaming. I already played the first of the three Jak and Daxter games and it almost platinum yeah :D

Another game I played is runescape, I don't know if some people know the game but just chech it out;). Some people think it is stupid and childish but I have so much fun with this game with my friends and clanbuddies.

This is what gaming is al about just have some fun ;) If it is alone or with friends, just have fun even if it doesn't work out.

So for the readers and the one with a google account, let me know what games you play at the moment, and maybe I will buy it too :p

On the first day, there were 4 press-conferences( This on different hours). Microsoft was the one who opened the E3. Then came EA, Ubisoft and Sony, this last one ended the first day.

Microsoft proposed a number of games as expected. These games were Tomb raider, South park: The stock or the truth and Resisdent evil 6. There also were Xbox exclusives like: Ascend: New gods, Lolocycle, Gears of war:Judgement and the expected Halo 4. But Microsoft wasn’t the best of the 3 on day 1 because of their nagging what is possible on XBL(Xbox Live) .I Think that Microsoft should remember that E3 is mainly about games and no advertising campaign

EA came on stage especially with games. This press-conference was in my eyes a show of extremes: either expectations or total surprises. The expectations were the new Madden and Fifa for 2013, the expansion for Battlefield 3, extras for Star wars: the old republic and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The surprises from EA were Dead Space3 and a new Need for Speed: Most wanted. This was a big surprise because I loved the older most wanted with the races against cops, the wanted list and of course the tuning. But after I watched the trailer, I felt al little bit disappointed. Not because it was bad but I missed something from the older game.

Ubisoft was next and like EA they only presented games. The show was one spectacular with a performance of Flo Rida. He presetend the new Just dance with a cool trailer. Other games that were presented were Splinter Cell:blacklist and a Marvel: Avengers game. Where everyone was looking forward to and also saw was Assassn’s creed III. The spectators gat some information and a beautiful trailer who gave most of the  audience goosebumps. I watched the trailer too and even I had to drool of this trailer. The action was cool, the graphics were nice and the surroundings were amazing. The only thing I can say is that Ubisoft is so far the best on the E3.

Sony was the last one of day 1 but there press-conference was a weak one because they only showed some trailer of games who were already know. It isn’t bad to show that but people were expecting much more from Sony. There was little focus on PS vita( and believe me, that the PS vita need some attention), there were only 2 games announced for the PS vita including 1 game that is already on PS3 which is LittleBigPlanet2. Other games that were shown, were God of war: Ascension, Last of Us and Beyond: Two souls.

Day 2

On day 2 , there was only 1 press-conference and on this day all of the game magazines or game sites could play some of the games who were installed in the E3.

Nintendo started the day with his press-conference but as expected they were talking about the WiiU, the new Nintendo console, and de Nintendo 3DS. This press-conference was also a disappointment because Nintendo didn’t talk about the price and date of the WiiU, what everyone was hoping for. Also there were many question for upcoming games like Pokemon Black and White 2 and Smash Bros. U. It wasn’t a bad conference but the people didn’t get that many information what they were hoping for.

Then the games who the people could play on this day were: Assassin’s creed III, Dead Space III, Darksiders II, Star wars 1313, Last of Us, Fable: The Journey, etc… there were also a lot of “secret E3 games” but I didn’t find any information about that.

Day 3 & 4

On this day there weren o press-conferences only games sessions and 1 “secret E3-game”. The games that were set all around the E3 were: Borderlands 2, Transformers: Fall of cybertron, Crysis 3, DMC: Devil May Cry, World of Warplanes, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 etc… The last game of the E3 was the new Star Trek game

These were the 4 day of the E3. Personally I found this E3 a disappointment because the big 3 ( Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) didn’t surprise like they did last year. The best one of the E3 was in my eyes Ubisoft, just by the nice line-up of games that they presented. PS: sorry all that this is uploaded so late but due the exams, I had little time. Hopefully you can forgive me this and I hope that I can avoid this “lagging” for the future. But remember Game On! ;)
